Born and raised in the Arizona desert, my youthful dreams were to become either a doctor or Indiana Jones. But after studying both science and anthropology in college, there was something still missing.
I had a friend who was a night owl. And a self-taught programmer. He offered to be my makeshift tech academy. And so, I began my adventure down a winding road towards user advocacy.
Today, I continue to learn, hone my skills, and explore the digital world through design. Throughout the course of my career, I’ve come to recognize and embrace my interests, not just in computer science, but in the human relationships that exist with technology. And my understanding of composition, code, and culture allows me to create and iterate through meaningful designs. While I love crafting experiences that are visually pleasing, I also understand that people need to know you care. And sometimes it takes a little digging to uncover the best way to do that; x never marks the spot.
